SPAR International Congress South Africa

Sunday 20^th May
	Arrival at Johannesburg Oliver Tambo Airport. Transfer to Sun City (3 hour drive by bus) with transport arranged by SPAR International. Check into the Palace of the Lost City hotel and explore Sun City resort. Welcome dinner at the Observation Deck at the Valley of the Waves, beginning with cocktails.
Monday 21^st May
There will be an opportunity to avail of the many activities at Sun City. There will also be optional day safaris for participants not going to Phinda Safari Reserve on the post-congress tour. Registration for activities will be done in 2012. Experience a truly traditional evening at the ‘Boma’ venue.
Tuesday 22^nd May
Day 1 of the Congress which will take place in the Conference Centre, a short walk away from the hotel within the Sun City resort. The agenda will be circulated prior to the start of the Congress. A wide variety of presentations will be given throughout the day. Sponsor displays will also be available to visit. There will be a partner programme available for the day, during which participants will be visiting a crocodile farm and also interact with elephants. Lunch is included in the programme. Evening dine-around to one of the many restaurants available at Sun City. On our website there is a downloadable file with information on all venues here. Reservations can be made upon arrival at Sun City for the venue of your choice.
Wednesday 23^rd May
Day 2 of the Congress will also take place in the Conference Centre. The agenda will be circulated prior to the start of the Congress. A wide variety of presentations will be given throughout the day. Sponsor displays will also be available to visit. The partner programme planned for today includes a visit to a Cultural Village to learn more about the various tribes of South Africa. Within the programme, there will also be drumming lessons and lunch is included. SPAR South Africa will host you to a Gala Dinner in the Royal Ballroom.
Thursday 24^th May
We will depart Sun City by bus and visit SPAR and SUPERSPAR supermarkets in the region of Johannesburg, some of the finest retailers within SPAR. Lunch will be provided by one of the retailers we will be meeting. Those guests not participating in the post- Congress tour will depart home from Johannesburg Oliver Tambo International Airport. Please note that flights should not depart before 20:00 hours. For those staying for the post-congress tour, accommodation will be arranged in the Sandton Sun hotel in Johannesburg. Evening is arranged at Lekgotla African restaurant.
