Programme Information

The Congress will take place in the subtropical city of Dongguan in Southern China.

Sunday 23rd May

Arrival at Guangzhou International Airport.
Organised transfer (1 hour) by coach to Royal Lagoon Sofitel Hotel in Dongguan
Leisure time to relax by the pool or visit the Spa.

Evening: Poolside welcome drinks followed by BBQ dinner.

Monday 24th May

Morning: Visit of SPAR supermarkets and hypermarkets and the newly opened 40,000 sqm DC.

Afternoon: Optional Golf Day on the award winning championship Golf Course of Dongguan. Sightseeing for the non-golfers.

Evening: Relaxed Evening Dinner in the Gardens of the Golf Club

Tuesday 25th May

International SPAR Congress: First day meeting.

Partner Programme: After optional morning Tai Chi, we shall visit the ancient Keyuan Garden where we shall enjoy a traditional tea ceremony, music and calligraphy demonstration, followed by a visit to a typical market.

Evening: Traditional Cantonese dinner in downtown Dongguan.

Wednesday 26th May

International SPAR Congress: Second day meeting

Partner Programme: In the morning we shall explore the art of making "Dim Sum" via authentic Chinese cooking classes, in the afternoon we shall visit the city centre allowing time for souvenir shopping.

Evening: The Gala dinner will be held at the Royal Lagoon Sofitel Hotel accompanied by contemporary and classical Chinese entertainment.
